It’s not everyday that I get to visit a Russian city, and  St. Petersburg is some sight. So with the promise of a future article on the city, I leave you with the beautiful, and quite charming, Venice of the North.

With gorgeous, even if sometimes over-the-top architecture . . .
It still remains a farytale place

Very wide streets,

a wedding over the bridge 🙂

and the beautiful river and canals . . .

‘The most romantic place in St Petersburg’, according to our guide Teddy, although the city also has the Russian version of Venice’s Bridge of Sighs.

And now for the ships . . .

Russian . . .

foreign . . .

even a sub . . .

Overlooking the city lights, till next time 😉
