Travel Log: Monaco – The Weekened JoanJune 21, 20109 Comments27 views The weekend has been so much fun, good weather, good parties, and most importantly, good people whom I really missed. Because that was the reason I came back to Monaco for this long weekend, to meet up with old friends, and we used the Bal d’Ete as an excuse to make this happen. After the cocktail and parties from Friday, we tried to chill down on Saturday, and yet it didn’t really turn out that way . . . =”1″> This is not the way breakfast is supposed to look . . . =”1″> But I guess that’s what you happens when you’re watching a soccer game . . . when in Rome . . . =”1″> while other spots where taking place outside =”1″> we thought that the pool might be a good idea =”1″> yet it was actually quite cloudy and a little windy so we just lounged for a bit =”1″> Unfortunatly it wasn’t worth changing into a bathing suit. Stefanel white oversized shirt with Zara pants, Steve Madden leopard print flats and the LV bag. I’m saying ‘the’ not only because I actually really like it, woudn’t have bought it otherwise, but because until I saw this one I never considered LV as an option. I was never into the logo print, yet I think that with the Mahina collection they did a really good job. =”1″> My friend Misia, sporting her Jimmy Choo sunglasses, quite an interesting take on animal print, this time snake skin. =”1″> I must say, the view was really beautiful. =”1″> We eventually got all dressed up for the Bal, the theme being La Dolce Vita 🙂 =”1″> Misia, me and Romina before alcohol. The post-alcohol ones that will make the Internet will probably be posted of FB 😉 =”1″> A friend elegantly carrying all of our bags *loool* This is something I want to discuss with you. My friends where saying that it is, direct quote, ‘gentlemen-y’, still I always though it to be tacky. It’s somewhat un-masculin, and plus I’m wearing the bag because it goes with the outfit, why would I want someone else carrying it? What do you think? =”1″> It was really one of the best nights @ Jimmy’z =”margin-left:> and bit crazy too with this beeing the line of cars at 5AM =”1″> We did make it to brunch the next morning. A good thing really as it was in one of the nicest event rooms @ Hotel de Paris. I did go for a Riviera inspired look with the Steven Alan white&blue stripes jacket, RayBan‘s, and an AHH tshirt. =”1″> and the Casino, in case anyone was interested, with it’s gorgeous ‘Belle Epoque’ architecture. =”1″> Oh and I couldn’t not include this ‘bling artwork’ I saw in the window of a gallery. Just put some bling on anything and it might just pass for art in Monaco. P.S.: thank you as always for all the thoughts! Looking forward to aswering them soon. Kisses and hugs!
