Chuck Palahniuk once said that
“The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it.”
And even a dreamer like me, someone who lives in a fantasy world of her own making, has to recognize and admit the truth in this. What my imagination can conjure is far more powerful, colourful, and lasting, than anything that reality can come up with.
Still there are moments in our lives when the borders between what is real and what is fantasy become so thin that if we look close enough around us we can see magic at work. Some say this happens during the witching hour, when witches and other spirits roam the earth, others say it is a time when one can see sprites and other fairies.
For me it happened during a special, yet generic event: the third year anniversary of Manoush in Romania. It was an energetic and memorable day, but more than anything one that fired up imagination.
The making of our story will have to do for now.
The story itself will be featured soon enough.
