“I wish I had invented blue jeans. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity – all I hope for in my clothes.”
– Yves Saint Laurent –
Unlike Monsieur Laurent I was not impressed by the invention of the blue jeans, let alone by its introduction in everyday fashion. However, regardless of my personal preferences towards this utilitarian item of clothing, I cannot overlook its most prominent qualities: versatility and reliability.
A pair of jeans is like an ex boyfriend that you sporadically get together with in-between relationships. They’re not the most prominent item in your wardrobe, but when all else fails they’re just what you need for a well deserved morale and ego boost.
Hence what better to get me of my blogging rut (yes, I was aware of it) than a good old pair of jeans. So when the Lee Cooper team challenged me to showcase one pair of jeans in three different outfits, what could I do? I raised the stakes, and asked myself what can I do with one pair of boyfriend jeans + one simple white t-shirt. The results will be yours to see during the following days.
