THE HEARABOUTS w/t
The Hearabouts
Since the month of November had no blogger feature, I’ve prepared a double surprise for you this month. Thus, I have the pleasure of introducing the two delightful girls (Sandra & Eve) behind The Hearabouts!
They have a long love affair with fashion
E: Fashion was always there in my life, from an early stage, even though i didn’t give it too much attention. I think I inherited the fashion sense from my aunt who works in an artistic environment and as a child I got influenced by her unique style. But the real craziness started during my college years.
S: I can’t really put my finger on it. It might have been triggered by the beautifully-printed pink chiffon skirt that my grandma made for me when I was 7 or 8, and that made me feel like a fairy princess every time I wore it. Or with the looks I attracted in the 7 th grade with my diy cutout jeans. What is certain is that with time, it just developed from a passion to an obsession.
A strong view of fashion
E: Fashion fades, only style remains the same. – Coco Chanel
S: Fashion is very important. It is life-enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well.  – Vivienne Westwood
They have an eclectic style
S: I guess I’m still searching for a style that defines me completely. Now I’m just experimenting with clothes, trying to have fun. I like basic things and always try to mix them up with some out-of-the-ordinary accessories. I’m really an accessories freak, I could have tons of them and never be satisfied.

E: I am not sure I can find a proper definition, but if there was one it will start like this: a combination of urban vintage mixed with some skate-punk influences and japanese street fashion.

And a thought out dream fashion list

S: To name just a few: Chanel 2.55 bag in black, Rick Owens Blister leather biker jacket, McQueen skull scarf and ring, Pamela Love claw earring, Alexander Wang cutout ponte mini dress and a pair of Miu Miu Glitter Oxford shoes. And that Elie Saab gown I’ve mentioned before. Pretty eclectic choices, I know…

E: McQueen studded Brittania clutch, a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes, Vivienne Westwood armour ring, red Chanel 2.55 bag, Markus Lupfer sequin sailor dress, Kelly Ewing ruffle cream coat and Balmain brocade jacket.

Their whimsical view of the world
I wish people would wear more often . . .
E: Colors and accessories.
S: Sheer and flowy fabrics, red nail polish and less make-up.
And diverse wardrobe
E: Right now I am in love with my newly purchased rain boots.
S: My vintage dresses and bags (most of them presents from my grandma)
A strong desire to achieve their best
We had been following fashion blogs for a couple of years, and we always talked about starting our own blog. But it took us quite a while to make that decision. We thought that the standards were high, and we didn’t want to create something that wouldn’t rise up to them. I guess we were a little unsure, but now we don’t regret taking this step.
We started the blog in order to share the things we are passionate about: fashion, photography, music, food… By now, we’ve noticed that there are plenty of girls that watch us and give us feedback, and we are really grateful for their support. What we’d like for the future is to gain more foreign followers… we really want to reach the level of blogs in other countries, that’s why we will try to always exceed expectations and push our limits.
Creative photography

We find inspiration in everything that surrounds us, because it’s the little things that count most. It could be song lyrics, a certain image, a magazine page, the city skyline or a beautiful dress. We love intense colours and dreamy-like photography. Tim Walker’s images are always a source of inspiration, too.

An extensive blog list
We really admire French blogs (The Cherry Blossom Girl, Pandora, Le monde de Tokyobanhbao, Le Blog de Betty). Those girls are truly stylish! However, we also like blogs from other countries: Sea of Shoes, Caroline’s Mode, Kingdom of style, Faboulista, WishWishWish and many others. There are also Romanian fashion blogs that we love (they’re all in our sidebar :P), food blogs (Cannelle et Vanille), DIY (A pair and a Spare, Honestly…wtf) and streetstyle (Easy Fashion is an all-time fav).
Fashion blogs are our daily drug and we’ve noticed that some of the girls are extremely creative and therefore a true source of inspiration.  However, we do try to use those influences and give them a personal touch.
Their beautiful, old friendship
E: We’ve known each other from the 5th grade :D. I remember that Sandra looked like grandma’s girl, with her high pigtails and knitted  sweater…

S: And I know that the first thing I noticed was Eve’s bright pink hair clip, which was nothing like I’ve ever seen before. So it’s all about fashion afterall 😛
